Sakmut Wisesmanee is an independent Thai artist who was born on September 5, 1963 in Koh Samui. He has a Bachelor Degree in Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts from Silpakorn University in Bangkok. After university he worked in advertising and as a magazine illustrator before he became one of the country’s leading contemporary portraitists. His work for Art Mai Gallery Hotel is displayed on the Nude Art floor and it depicts portraits that evoke strong emotional reactions through paintings that showcase the true power of the brush. Mr. Wisesmanee currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.
